چکیده

The Ostrowski theorem in question is that an additive function bounded (above, say) on a set T of positive measure is continuous. In the converse direction, recall that a topological space T is pseudocompact if every function continuous on T is bounded. Thus theorems of ‘converse Ostrowski’type relate to ‘additive (pseudo)compactness’. We give a di¤erent characterization of such sets, in terms of the property of ‘generic subuniversality’, arising from the Kestelman-BorweinDitor theorem and relate these to various new forms of compactness. On the compactness property of extensions of first-order G"{o}del logic

We study three kinds of compactness in some variants of G"{o}del logic: compactness, entailment compactness, and approximate entailment compactness. For countable first-order underlying language we use the Henkinconstruction to prove the compactness property of extensions offirst-order g logic enriched by nullary connective or the Baaz'sprojection connective. In the case of uncountable first-orde...

ON COMPACTNESS AND G-COMPLETENESS IN FUZZY METRIC SPACES

In [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 27 (1988) 385-389], M. Grabiec in- troduced a notion of completeness for fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of Kramosil and Michalek) that successfully used to obtain a fuzzy version of Ba- nachs contraction principle. According to the classical case, one can expect that a compact fuzzy metric space be complete in Grabiecs sense. We show here that this is not the case,...

Generated topology on infinite sets by ultrafilters

Let $X$ be an infinite set, equipped with a topology $tau$. In this paper we studied the relationship between $tau$, and ultrafilters on $X$. We can discovered, among other thing, some relations of the Robinson's compactness theorem, continuity and the separation axioms. It is important also, aspects of communication between mathematical concepts.

Some Results on Baer's Theorem

Baer has shown that, for a group G, finiteness of G=Zi(G) implies finiteness of ɣi+1(G). In this paper we will show that the converse is true provided that G=Zi(G) is finitely generated. In particular, when G is a finite nilpotent group we show that |G=Zi(G)| divides |ɣi+1(G)|d′ i(G), where d′i(G) =(d( G /Zi(G)))i.

Egoroff’s theorem on Sugeno fuzzy measure spaces

In this paper, the well-known Egoroff’s theorem in classical measure theory is established on Sugeno fuzzy measure spaces. Taylor’s theorem, which concerns almost everywhere convergence of measurable function sequence in classical measure theory, is also generalized. The converse problem of the theorems are discussed, and a necessary and sufficient condition for the Egoroff’s theorem is obtaine...
